  • Pasta! Love it! (My favorite is rigatoni.) Could eat it every day of my life. I don't, but I could. When I'm too lazy to make a tomato sauce, I do enjoy pasta - especially spaghetti or linguine - with olive oil and garlic, and perhaps a squeeze of lemon juice over it, but tomato sauce - and lots of it - is my favorite.

Saute some chopped garlic in the olive oil until golden, remove it from the pan, and when the pasta is done and the sauce has been added, sprinkle the golden garlic over it. Delizioso!

For me, there's nothing like Italian food, especially pasta (and pizza), but to quote George Miller, "The trouble with eating Italian food is that five or six days later you're hungry again."

  • Ahh Pasta I do love thee..Let me count the ways...Carbonara,Scampi,Marinara,Ragu,EV Olive Oil Vinaigrette,etc..... It's Passion that carries over from my heritage as well. But I'm glad that I am not alone, and the are many who feel this need to embrace such a comfort food that is so simple to make in all it's forms. Thank you Mr Vito Rago for starting this group. Hopefully there will be much that I will learn as one of the members of the group!

  • I LOVE pasta! But here in the US we eat too much of it - not too many times, but too much at a time! We seem to make the pasta the whole meal, with a little meat and maybe a small salad on the side. That's not how I learned to eat it from my grandparents, who ate pasta every day, but as a side dish. And they loved the quick fresh sauces, instead of the fatty, rich sauces we do today. Thank goodness some of the fresh, uncooked sauces are coming back into vogue.
