Banana-Apple Pie

Banana-Apple Pie: This delicious pie is a different version of a banana pie I grew up with. It is light and a quick dessert to make and will surely impress your guests. your social media marketing partner
  • 1 unbaked pie crust (you can get a store bought crust or make your own)
  • 3 large overriped bananas (or 4 medium ones)
  • 2 apples, cut in small pieces
  • 3-4 tablespoons of sugar, depending on your taste.
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar(this is for the topping)
  • 1/4 cup white sugar (this is for the topping)
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup butter (cold)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

  1. Pre-heat oven to 400 deg. F
  2. Mash bananas and combine with sugar and vanilla.
  3. Cook banana mixture over high heat until it turns a shade darker and comes together in a mass. It will stop sticking to base and sides of pan.
  4. Remove from heat and add apples.
  5. Allow to cool slightly.
  6. In the meantime, combine flour, brown and white sugars, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  7. Cut in the butter until you get a crumbled mixture
  8. Roll out pie crust in a 9" pie dish.
  9. Fill pie crust with banana and apple mixture.
  10. Cover with the crumbled mixture.
  11. Place in the oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until crust and top are brown.
  12. Remove from oven and allow to cool. your social media marketing partner
Additional Tips

When cooled, serve with some whipped cream on top. It's delicious.
