Polenta with Sausage and Broccoli Rabe

Polenta with Hot Italian Sausage and Broccoli Rabe... in Calabria they like it hot! your social media marketing partner
  • 1/2 Lb - Instant Polenta
  • 1/2 Lb - Hot Italian sausage
  • 1/2 Lb - Broccoli rabe
  • 3 Cloves garlic
  • EV olive oil
  • Salt

  • In a pot of boiling water add salt as desired and 3 cloves of garlic.
  • Add the cleaned and washed broccoli rabe and let boil.
  • Cut the hot sausage in slices 1/2 inch wide and saute` in a pan with just 1 tablespoon of EV olive oil.
  • Saute` the sausage until it turns brown.
  • Remove the broccoli rabe from the boiling water and add them to the sausage. Continue to saute` for a few more minutes.
  • Put aside the sauteed sausage and broccoli rabe and start making the polenta.
  • In a pot with 2 quarts of boiling water add the polenta very slowly with a spoon.
  • Stir the polenta often and cook for about 3 minutes and until the polenta thickens.
  • Add 3/4 of the sausage and broccoli rabe to the polenta and mix well.
  • Place the polenta on a serving platter and garnish with the remainder of the sausage and broccoli rabe.

Great recipe! Whoever wrote the Directions portion misspelled rabe....if you will notice the directions refer to rabe as rape!!!!! your social media marketing partner
