Crema di Caffè - Italian Coffee Cream

Ingredients

For the Cream:

  • 0.25 cup brewed espresso coffee, cooked to room temperature, chilled
  • 0.25 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream, chilled

Method A:

  1. In a bowl add the espresso and confectioners sugar. Stir to combine.
  2. Pour the coffee mixture into a clean plastic bottle along with the heavy cream. Shake the bottle until the contents are no longer liquid, about 3 minutes.
  3. Pour into cups and serve immediately. Dust with cocoa powder and garnish with coffee beans if desired.

Method B:

  1. In a large mixing bowl add the espresso and confectioners sugar. Stir to combine.
  2. Add the heavy cream to the bowl and beat with an electric mixer until soft peaks form.
  3. Spoon into cups and serve immediately. Dust with cocoa powder and garnish with coffee beans if desired.
