I am first generation Canadian. My parents are originally from Italy. Casserta and Marchanello. I grew up in Montreal, Quebec under the Italian culture. I am 49 years old, married, but was not blessed with children of my own. I have 3 dogs to satisfy my maternal instinct. I now live in Ontario, but miss my Mom very much. Although I do go see her often as I only live 2 hours away from her. I can cook like crazy and most of my meals and desserts turn out spectacular, but sadly, I never learned to make the Italian recipes. That is because my mom uses her eye and hands and does not have any measurements for me. Very difficult to follow so I didn't attempt it. Thanks to youtube, more and more people like you teach us how to make the desserts we enjoyed growing up. I would like to make it for my kids. I am a host mom where I take in international students to come study in Canada.
