Wondering if anyone can tell me name of a candy my nana used to purchase at an italilan convenience store. I've searched the internet for the last 5 yrs. called many bakeries, contacted specialty shops and nothing! I used to love these when young, cannot find them anywhere. Wondering if anyone can tell me name of a candy my nana used to purchase at an italilan convenience store. I've searched the internet for the last 5 yrs. called many bakeries, contacted specialty shops and nothing! I used to love these when young, cannot find them anywhere. Here is my best description: Candy is about an inch thick, could be less, its hard, and perfectly round in shape, has nuts in it, brazil and other nuts believe, think perhaps raisins or something chewy inside also that were dark in color as raisins, entire candy dark molassescolor and you can see the darkness of this candy which is a bit transparent which you can see the nuts here and there. it was wrapped in foil that was a deep red color and silver. I've checked many stores as mentioned and not the nugert kind.
If someone can tell me what this candy is called and where to buy it, I will jump up and down.
