I am a second generation Italian-American who was raised in a very large Italian family. I grew up experiencing so many wonderful Italian traditions including spending every Sunday and all holidays with my grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. The food my grandmother cooked and the baking she did for those family dinners was absolutely incredible. I admired her so much because she also worked 5 days a week as a full time seamstress but always managed to prepare delicious and bountiful Italian cuisine meals. I miss those days for they are gone forever.
