Panzerotti, or Frittelle,  are an old traditional food made at Christmas time in Puglia and many other regions of southern Italy. They can be filled with just about anything and are to be fried. Optionally they can also be baked.  But, you don't need to wait for Christmas to come around.  These can also be enjoyed in the summer when you have lots of family and friends over.
