Dear Marie,
Congratulations — You have been selected as a finalist in the 42nd Annual Advance Cookbook. Thank you for submitting your recipe! We look forward to sampling the gluten-free muffins you’ve entered.
As we discussed on the phone, the next and final phase of this competition is the Advance “Taste-off,” this year held on Jan. 31, 2015 in the ballroom at the Hilton Garden Inn. The event is open to the public — and that includes your friends and family, up to eight guests, whom are all invited for support — runs from 9 a.m. until around 11:15 a.m. You do not need a ticket as a finalist for admission this day.
A complimentary breakfast is included for everyone in the room after 8:30 a.m.
But for you, the Finalist — the challenge begins well before the event. For instance, you must prepare your dish prior to the Taste-off. It should be camera ready then ready for judging by 8:30 a.m. So, we ask that you arrive by 8 a.m. Please wear your favorite apron, chef coat and/or clogs.
