I was stationed near Brindisi, Italy from 1969-72 (US Air Force). Love the Italian culture and people so much I married an Italian (Sicilian heritage) back here in the states. We make over 300 canolis every Thanksgiving using my wife's Father's family (Ruize) recipe from a small town outside Palermo. And after all these years I am learning to speak Italian and we are planning a trip back next year.
